As an art student at the academy of higher arts at Arnhem I was forced to take a course in photography. Practically this consisted in a discusion with my lady photography teacher about the 'Art' in 'Photography' every wednesday morning from nine to eleven till the other kids got out of there beds and bothered to show up with there silly excuses for being late. Then she would explain the assignment for the term and we stumbled with our overprized camaras in to the fields and did our photography thingie. Whatever the assignment was at the end of the term I came up with the following three photographs. they can be seen here here and here I had worked very hard on them. I constructed 7 (seven!) pinhole cameras (which were trown in the bin because they thought it was trash), cleared my whole artelier (?) and painted a grid and several perfect cirles on one of the walls. Broke a very expensive technical camara (but the insureannce took care of that. (Lucky me, because this baby would set you back 17.000 dutch gulders). So at the end of the term I produced these three photographs and a short essay about photography. (this was her idea. She told me that if I felt so strongly about photography as an art form I should organize my theories in writen word and she would give me the -oh so- badly needed study points I needed to go on the next term.) Basiclly this essay said that I really did not like photography because what it did to my balls. (backedup with a lot of technical stuff about lenses and the 'one eyed artist'.) I didn't get the study points. I got to the next term anyway, on probaition, I think it is called, but I ruined it myself by throwing a brick trough the window and getting arrested. I got to pay for the window and had to sleep in a police cell for a night and got expelled from school for two weeks, after the two weeks I didn't bother to show up. But that is a different story which I will relate one day if you are interested. now look at the 'cool' Photographs!

This following picture is not a photograph of my interesting looking rock collection but are actually pictures of me (and my brother)
